From November 28th to 30th, 2019, the 4th China International Conference on Composite Materials Technology and the 3rd International Exhibition of Innovative Achievements in Composite Materials Industry were held at the Zhuhai International Exhibition Center. The conference, themed "New Composite Materials, Shaping the Future," featured 50 thematic academic sub-forums, 3 international sub-conferences, and 7 special sub-conferences. Nine academicians and five foreign academicians, along with nearly 3,100 experts, scholars, and industry representatives from China and abroad, attended the event. The exhibition covered an area of 20,000 square meters. The conference was hosted by the China Composite Materials Society and supported by the Zhuhai Municipal People's Government and the Guangdong Provincial Association for Science and Technology. The three-day 4th China International Conference on Composite Materials Technology (CCCM-4) successfully concluded at the Zhuhai International Convention and Exhibition Center.
At the opening ceremony of the conference, Academician Du Shanyi and Academician Zhang Litong were awarded the "Lifetime Achievement Award of the China Composites Society." Their awards represent a full recognition by the composites community of the significant contributions made by these two highly respected experts to the field, and also set a benchmark and example for all composites scientists and engineers to follow.
Jiangsu Aosheng Composite Materials Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Aosheng Technology), led by its president Mr. Xu Wenqian, participated in this exhibition with a variety of products and samples. The exhibition showcased carbon fiber products, including bidirectional and unidirectional carbon fiber fabrics, prepregs, carbon fiber medical devices, electronic products, pultruded panels for wind power applications, automotive parts, express delivery drones, and other industrial products, as well as creative carbon fiber home furnishings, demonstrating the highest level of domestic carbon fiber composite materials in civilian applications. The exhibition was a great success, with many customers gaining a deeper understanding and appreciation of Aosheng Technology after on-site observation and consultation, and expressing strong interest in future cooperation.
Exciting and diverse conference presentations
The company enjoys a high reputation in the industry, and its products have received positive feedback from many well-known domestic and international companies. Aosheng Technology's main business is carbon fiber and its composite materials, ranking among the top companies in the domestic industry. It is one of the top ten well-known carbon fiber companies and one of the few domestic companies with an annual carbon fiber consumption exceeding one thousand tons. During the conference, Yan Bing, the technical director of Aosheng Technology, gave a presentation on "Applications of Composite Materials in the Wind Power Field," and Sales Director Zhang Jiwei presented a report on "The Application of Pultrusion Technology in Wind Turbine Blades" in a separate session.
The 3rd International Composite Materials Industry Innovation Achievements and Technology Exhibition (ICIE-3) was held concurrently with the conference. The exhibition covered an area of over 15,000 square meters and attracted hundreds of exhibitors and nearly 20,000 visitors. The exhibition featured various special events, including a business and industry forum, a composite materials innovation and entrepreneurship roadshow, a career development forum, a series of book launches, presentations on the public functions of the society, and the final round of the 4th "Guangwei Cup" China Composite Materials Society University Student Innovation Technology Competition. A series of activities commemorating the 30th anniversary of the China Composite Materials Society were also held during the exhibition.
CCCM is currently the largest and most advanced academic exchange and technology promotion conference in the field of composite materials in China. Therefore, the technical and business personnel from Aosheng Technology eagerly attended various sessions to learn. Many of the presentations were excellent, and they wished they could attend them all, but due to limited personnel, they could only focus on the sessions most relevant to their work, such as resin-based composites, prepregs, wind power, automotive applications, and carbon fiber recycling. Even with this focused approach, they still missed many valuable presentations. Besides listening to presentations and learning new knowledge, they also engaged in active discussions, hoping to apply the acquired knowledge to practical production and improve their own understanding.
Aosheng Technology will continue to innovate in carbon fiber composite materials, providing customers with even better products in the future.
