On November 18, the First Session of the Sixth Council of the China Overseas Friendship Association was successfully held at the Great Hall of the People. Wang Huning, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, attended and delivered an important speech. Shi Taifeng, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, Minister of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee, and President of the China Overseas Friendship Association, delivered a work report to the council. Mr. Xu Wenqian, Chairman of Jiangsu Aosheng Composite Materials Technology Co., Ltd., was elected as a council member.

The China Overseas Friendship Association, established in 1997, is a nationwide, non-profit social organization with independent legal person status. It is voluntarily formed by representatives from various sectors of mainland China, relevant groups, compatriots from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the Macao Special Administrative Region, Taiwan, and prominent figures among overseas Chinese. It plays an important role in extensively connecting compatriots in Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, as well as overseas Chinese, and promoting economic, scientific, technological, cultural, and educational exchanges and cooperation between them and various sectors of mainland society.

At the meeting, Wang Huning, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, stated that to effectively carry out the work of connecting with Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and overseas Chinese in the new era, it is necessary to be guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, uphold the principles of great unity and solidarity, uphold the banner of patriotism, and leverage the role of united front work in Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and overseas Chinese communities to win hearts and minds, thus broadly uniting people, building consensus, pooling wisdom, and gathering strength for advancing Chinese-style modernization. He expressed hope that the China Overseas Friendship Association and its members will better shoulder their responsibilities in advancing Chinese-style modernization and share the great glory of the motherland's prosperity.

Mr. Xu Wenqian has always held a deep love for the Party and the country in his heart, closely following the country's development and keeping pace with the Party's steps to ensure that the company's development direction is aligned with the overall national development strategy.
