

Recently, the Jiangsu Provincial Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce held its 10th Anniversary Celebration and the Inauguration Ceremony of its Third Council in Nanjing. Xu Wenqian, Chairman of Aosheng Technology, was invited to attend the celebration and was elected as the Vice President of the new Council.




At the invitation of President Shi Weibin, prominent guests including Carrie Lam, former Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Honorary Life President of the Chamber of Commerce; Fang Wei, Vice Governor of Jiangsu Province; He Jing, Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region; Huang Wei, Standing Committee Member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and Vice Chairman of the Education, Science, Health and Sports Committee; Wang Hao, Vice Chairman of the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the CPPCC; and Tang Yingnian, Standing Committee Member of the National Committee of the CPPCC, former Chief Secretary for Administration of Hong Kong, and Honorary Life President of the Chamber of Commerce, attended the ceremony.
Leaders from the Jiangsu Provincial United Front Work Department, the Provincial Development and Reform Commission, the Provincial Department of Education, the Provincial Department of Science and Technology, the Provincial Ethnic and Religious Affairs Commission, the Provincial Department of Civil Affairs, the Provincial Department of Finance, the Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment, the Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the Provincial Department of Transportation, the Provincial Department of Commerce, the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, the Provincial Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office, and the Provincial Taiwan Affairs Office also attended the celebration and offered their congratulations.
Furthermore, key leaders from the Nanjing Municipal Committee and the Nanjing Municipal Committee of the CPPCC were present, joining nearly 500 guests to witness this significant milestone in the Chamber of Commerce's ten-year development history.

Amidst enthusiastic applause, Shi Weibin, a member of the Standing Committee of the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), President of the Jiangsu Provincial Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce, and Chairman of Yingda Technology Group, delivered a speech and a work program report.

President Shi Weibin stated that in the future, the Chamber of Commerce will be based on the principles of "Hong Kong Style, Jiangsu Sentiment, and Chinese Heart," and will adhere to the working philosophy of "What the Country Needs, What Hong Kong excels at, and What Jiangsu has all to offer." It will build a bridge of communication between enterprises and the government, convey relevant government policies from top to bottom, and enable members to fully grasp the latest policy directions. It will also offer suggestions on industry development planning and enterprise macro-management, and promote the development of a "clean and close" relationship between the government and enterprises.


At the same time, President Shi Weibin emphasized at the ceremony that he will lead all members of the new council to take "moral integrity" and "action as results" as their goals, serve as a bridge between government and enterprises, coordinate relationships among various parties, seek business opportunities and discuss development, work together to ensure the friendship between Jiangsu and Hong Kong lasts forever, and create tangible economic opportunities and cultural value.

Jiangsu Vice Governor Fang Wei, on behalf of the provincial government, extended congratulations to the Chamber of Commerce on its 10th anniversary. Fang Wei stated that since its establishment, the Chamber of Commerce has fully leveraged its resource advantages to promote significant development in economic and trade relations and cultural exchanges and cooperation between Jiangsu and Hong Kong.

In her address, Carrie Lam, former Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Honorary Life President of the Chamber of Commerce, emphasized that the Chamber's development should focus on "what the country needs, what Hong Kong excels at, and what Jiangsu has to offer." She expressed her hope that under the leadership of the new council, the Chamber can provide more employment opportunities for young people from Hong Kong to develop in Jiangsu Province.

Speech by Honorary President for Life, Henry Tang
Tang Yingnian, a member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Honorary President for Life of the Chamber of Commerce, also delivered a speech at the ceremony. Mr. Tang said, "I am a Jiangsu native living in Hong Kong. Although I have settled in Hong Kong, I always keep my motherland and hometown in my heart. I will continue to promote the high-quality development of the economy, culture, society and ecological civilization of Jiangsu and Hong Kong."

The celebration also featured a variety of wonderful performances, including songs and dances. The performers gave their all on stage, receiving enthusiastic applause from the audience, and the interaction between the performers and the audience repeatedly brought the atmosphere to a climax.


The achievements of the past ten years are inseparable from the concerted efforts and unremitting hard work of all members of the Jiangsu Provincial Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce. The appointment ceremony of the third council is one of the main contents of the celebration.


After the ceremony, Vice Governor Fang Wei, Ms. Carrie Lam, and other distinguished guests posed for a group photo with the new council members. The event not only captured precious moments but also foreshadowed a bright future.
